Head of European Sales

A well-established investment firm is looking for an experienced European Business Development Director to join their team and work closely with a senior sales leader as part of a long-term growth plan. They are looking to move quickly and will prioritise candidates with a short notice period or who are immediately available.

Rather than a purely transactional sales role, this position combines relationship management, business development and strategic follow-up. You will operate across public market strategies within a flat, entrepreneurial environment, benefitting from close collaboration, broad product exposure and meaningful long-term commercial upside.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with a senior sales leader to manage and grow a European institutional and wholesale client base.
  • Build, deepen and maintain long-term relationships with pension funds, insurers, asset owners, intermediaries and professional investors.
  • Support ongoing business origination through strategic follow-up, account management and high-quality client servicing.
  • Represent a broad investment platform across both liquid and illiquid strategies, tailoring solutions to client needs.
  • Identify and develop growth opportunities across underrepresented European regions.

What We’re Looking For

  • An experienced sales professional operating at Senior VP or Director level, with a strong European client track record. Experience in Southern Europe, Italy or Benelux region is advantageous.
  • We are also open to Head’s of European Sales
  • Proven experience within asset management, private banking or investment solutions.
  • Fluency in at least one European language is essential; additional languages are advantageous.
  • Demonstrable experience covering European institutional and/or wholesale investors.
  • A self-directed, commercially minded individual who thrives in an entrepreneurial, partnership-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with both public and private market strategies, alongside a collaborative and long-term approach to client development.
