Head of Products

Our client is looking for a highly connected investment professional with a genuine passion for finding exceptional fund managers across both public and private markets. This role is ideally suited to someone who thrives on building relationships, maintaining a strong market network and identifying differentiated investment opportunities globally.

The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping and evolving the firm’s product offering, with a particular focus on sourcing high-quality boutique and specialist managers, staying close to emerging trends and bringing innovative ideas to market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a strong network across the investment management industry to identify high-quality managers, new launches and differentiated strategies across public and private markets.
  • Drive the development of the firm’s product pipeline, working closely with internal stakeholders to originate and evaluate new investment opportunities.
  • Act as a key point of contact with external managers, maintaining strong relationships and ongoing market dialogue.
  • Lead manager research and due diligence activities across a broad range of asset classes and geographies.
  • Oversee product governance and approval processes, ensuring strong commercial rationale and alignment with investor demand.
  • Work closely with internal teams on fund structuring, vehicle selection and product implementation across UCITS, AIFs, LPs and managed account structures.
  • Manage the successful launch and ongoing evolution of investment products, ensuring they remain commercially relevant and competitive.
  • Monitor market developments, investor appetite and product trends to help shape future opportunities for the business.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 10–15+ years’ experience within manager research, fund selection, product strategy or product development within asset management, wealth management or a family office environment.
  • A strong and well-established network across the investment management industry, particularly within boutique and specialist managers.
  • Demonstrable experience identifying and evaluating both liquid and illiquid investment opportunities.
  • Commercially minded with a strong understanding of investor demand and product positioning.
  • Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence internally and externally.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks including UCITS, AIFMD, MiFID II and SFDR would be advantageous.
