On Tuesday 21st February IMPACT joined forces with Ninety One’s Inspire network to ‘Manage difficult conversations’; a very topical event for right now, with falling compensation and tough decisions being made.

Tips for difficult Conversations:
- Be clear about your KPI
- Manage you state
- Know how to begin
- Silence is powerful
- Preserve the relationship – the stronger the bond, the more conflict it can take
- Make concessions where appropriate
- Don’t apologise
- Difference and conflict are natural
- Remember the four sentence rule
- Ask them to summarise the key message
