We were honoured to host a Women in Climate Breakfast in partnership with our client Just Climate. This conversation comprised of senior leaders within the sustainability and ESG space in asset management, allowing to discuss strategy, challenges and next steps under Chatham House Rules.
Positive takeaways from the session;
Find all the commonality you can. Engage with people on the wavelength they’re actually on rather than where you wish they were.
Leave the self-righteousness at the door. Not everybody shares your passions and they don’t have to! Focus on demonstrating where you can add value.
It’s okay to change the plan. Just because the ground moves from under your feet doesn’t mean the end goal has to change. Focus on the mission and recognise that the path to success is rarely linear!
Shifting the metrics of success. Don’t get overly bogged down by the benchmarks or what competitors are doing. Focus on the long-term goal.
