After a busy summer period, the market has been fairly quiet in the last month.  Luckily Leverton is gearing up for what is looking like an exciting November! We will be celebrating Leverton’s fifth Birthday and have been preparing for another IMPACT collaboration with Investec on Organisational Culture.

We are especially excited for Investment Week’s, Women in Investment Management Awards which Leverton will be attending, nominated for Gender Diversity.

Conversations about the workplace and women’s place in it

The Harvard Business Forum has a variety of Podcasts addressing issues that women encounter and share practical advice about being a woman in the workplace. The recent podcasts discuss how to develop a strong women network as well as navigating the tricky practicalities of disclosing salaries and commenting on the issues surrounding fair pay.

Some sectors remain ‘old boys clubs’

The FCA has reported this month that despite “bold targets”, senior employees within financial companies are nearly as male today as they were 15 years ago. It commented that regardless of the size of firm, the proportion of women is higher in senior management roles than in client-facing roles.
